Description: Seckford Hall dates from 1530 and it is said that Elizabeth I once held court here. Set in 34 acres of parkland with sweeping lawns and a willow fringed lake the house is furnished as a private residence with many fine period pieces. The panelled rooms, beamed ceilings,carved doors and great stone fireplaces are set against the splendour of English oak. Local delicacies such as the house speciality, lobster, feature on the à la carte menu. The courtyard area was converted from a giant Tudor tithe barn, dairy and coach house and now incorporates 10 charming cottage-style suites and a leisure complex, which includes a heated swimming pool, exercise machines, spa bath and beauty salon.
