Opening times: House: Weekdays from 22rd June - 31st July and on the 25th of May and the 31th of August (Bank holidays), 2-4.30pm (last admissions 4:00pm) and at other times by appointment. Gardens and All Saints Church: 1st March - 31st October daily except Saturdays 11am-5pm. Licensed cafe: Open from 11am to 5:30 pm daily except saturdays March - September.

Description: Mapperton's terraced valley gardens surround a Tudor/Jacobean manor house, stable blocks, dovecote and church. On upper levels a walled croquet lawn: then down to the orangery and Italianale formal garden with fountains, topiary, grottoes, ponds and borders. Below, a 17th century summer house with fishponds and topiary, leading to lower garden with arboretum. Magnificent walks and views.
