Description
The buildings at Michelham Priory have evolved over 800 years. Furniture and artefacts on display trace the property’s religious origins through its life as a working farm and its development as a country house. Seven acres of superb gardens are enhanced by a 14th-century gatehouse, fully restored medieval watermill, a working forge, rope museum and a dramatic Elizabethan Great Barn, now used for weddings and corporate functions. See our website for events including Iron Age living history activities, a Game and Country Fair, Sussex Guild’s Crafts in Action, a Medieval Weekend and ending with November’s Christmas Gift and Craft Fair.
