Description
Set in 200 acres of rolling parkland close to Harrogate, York and Leeds is Allerton Castle - The ancestral home of Lord Mowbray, Segrave and Stourton, the premier Baron of England. Rated Grade I by English Heritage, it is the most important Gothic Revival Stately Home in England. Open for guided tours on Wednesdays & Bank Holiday Mondays from Easter to the end of September, 13.00hrs to 16.00hrs. The castle can be hired Exclusively for events. We are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and have an in-house caterer. Allerton Castle is maintained and operated by The Gerald Arthur Rolph Foundation for Historic Preservation and Education.
