Description
Sulgrave Manor is a superb example of a modest manor house of Shakespeare’s time and was home to the ancestors of George Washington. Visitors are taken around the Manor house by friendly and informative guides seeing, in the sensitively restored rooms, a wonderful collection of 16th to 18th century furniture, textiles and artefacts displayed in a natural and welcoming atmosphere. The house is surrounded by formal gardens which are an attraction in their own right. Visitors can also enjoy tasty, good-value refreshments and an interesting gift shop.
Location

Sulgrave is less than 15 minutes by car from J11 of the M40 and J15A of the M1. Warwick, Stratford and Oxford are all about 30 minutes away. There is free parking. There is a regular train service from London, Manchester and Birmingham to Banbury from where a taxi costs about £13.
